Anne Vigouroux
Founder and Clinical Hypnotherapist
I’m Anne, the founder of Renaissance and a fully qualified clinical hypnotherapist (HPD), trained at the London College of Clinical Hypnotherapy — a long-standing school registered with the British Society of Clinical Hypnotherapy.
I spent my career in marketing and communications in financial services, and I saw first-hand what sustained pressure does to people who are very good at their jobs.
Marketing is my passion; hypnotherapy is my vocation. Both are about how perception shapes reality. In marketing, external messages shape how we feel about a product. In hypnosis, our internal messages shape how we feel about ourselves.
I’ve been a mentor, a coach and a postgraduate teacher for more than a decade. My interest is in supporting business athletes — a term I coined for the senior leaders and high-potential people who carry a great deal and rarely put it down.
I came to solution-focused hypnotherapy through my own front door. Pregnant with my first child, I felt overwhelmed by the future and by a crippling sense that I wouldn’t be capable or loving enough. I knew the doubts were unfounded, and I was still paralysed by them. A long analysis of my past never appealed to me; I wanted to retune, and move forward.
I’d always been curious about the thinking behind hypnotherapy, so I tried it. My outlook shifted, and I could see things in proportion again. I kept learning, and practising self-hypnosis brought me benefits I hadn’t expected — it helped me set down beliefs I’d been carrying for years, and go on to do several things I’d always wanted to do. Renaissance is one of them.
The way we see things shapes the way we live them. The words we say to ourselves, and the pictures we run in our heads, shape what comes next. Let’s work on that together.
I’m registered with the CNHC and the NCH, fully insured, hold an enhanced DBS, and I lecture at the LCCHI.
